Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed his support and understanding for Jürgen Klopp's decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season. Arteta believes that English football owes a great deal of gratitude to Klopp for his impact on the Premier League.
The Arsenal boss has commended Klopp's personality, success with Liverpool, and remarkable energy, stating that he has made the league 'much better'. In a press conference, Arteta stated: "I think he's had a big contribution for the growth of this league. Then I love the way he did it. When you see the emotion that he put in and you see that human side, explaining the reasons behind his decision and the challenges and everything that is related to our job, I think he was spot on."
Arteta also acknowledged that he understands why Klopp has chosen to step away after such a long managerial career with Mainz, Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool. While Klopp has stated that he will never manage another English team, Arteta couldn't provide a definitive answer regarding his own future.
He said: "Today, no. But I don't know. I played for two great clubs in this country. I moved around in different things. I am extremely young and I don't know what's going to happen."
Furthermore, Arteta denied rumors of his potential departure from Arsenal in the summer. He vehemently dismissed claims linking him to the Barcelona job after Xavi's resignation, calling them "totally fake news." Arteta emphasized his commitment to Arsenal and his strong relationship with the board, the team, and ownership.

As for Klopp's legacy, Arteta believes that he has not only made every manager better but has also improved the league. He added: "He made this league much better, he made every manager better, and he's made the league much more beautiful and intense."
Liverpool.com says: Arteta's praise for Klopp is of course spot on. The German has changed the top flight and no doubt brought a lot more eyeballs onto the Premier League. The Arsenal boss was previously at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola and that is probably the best rivalry that Klopp faced.
