It seems as if Mikel Arteta will look to add a prolific goal-scorer to his squad in the summer, when Arsenal are expected to spend big.
Whilst both are strong options, neither Gabriel Jesus or Eddie Nketiah have shown a consistent ability to find the net.
And it now seems logical that Nketiah will be replaced in the summer for a striker who will better compliment Jesus’ skill set.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of names, and it does seem as if they may turn to a Premier League option.
As well as long-term links to Ivan Toney, Arsenal have also been credited with interest in Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke
Solanke has scored 12 goals in 20 Premier League games this season, it’s no surprise he’s getting attention.

And when speaking on ‘The Rest is Football’ podcast, Alan Shearer was very complimentary of the Arsenal-linked striker.
Alan Shearer very impressed with striker Dominic Solanke amid Arsenal links
Speaking on the podcast, Shearer was initially asked if he thought Solanke had a chance of making it to the Euros this summer.
And although the pundit thought that may be a stretch, he was very complimentary nonetheless.

Shearer said: “He is having a really, really impressive season. My guess is that he will take two back-ups to Harry.
“Watkins plus another. Now he is going to be up against competition from Ivan Toney, Callum Wilson, perhaps Bowen.
“So he is having a great season but for England… if he continues to blast them in between now and the end of the season then I would say so but you then also have to have a look at some of the others.”
Of course, Arsenal fans would probably be happy to take any of the names mentioned.
Perhaps Callum Wilson doesn’t have the fitness record to justify a move, but the likes of Ollie Watkins and Toney would be very welcome at the Emirates.
That being said, Shearer does seem to place both Watkins and Toney in a category above Solanke, and that may reflect how Arsenal fans feel about the striker.
Despite his goal-scoring this season, there’s an argument to be had if £40m-rated Solanke would be a huge upgrade on Nketiah.
