Mesut Ozil once compared Benzema to the Brazilian Ronaldo
Karim Benzema was one of Real Madrid‘s best players for years.
Yes, his performances were often overshadowed because of superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo back then, but the players who played with him knew just how good he was.
One such player is Mesut Ozil, who played with Benzema at Real Madrid before joining Arsenal. He compared the Frenchman to Brazil icon Ronaldo.
He told Arsenal’s YouTube channel in 2020: “I know him as a person, he’s a really, really good person. I really enjoyed the time to play with him together.
“I know he’s one of the best strikers. He’s like, let’s say, the Brazilian Ronaldo. He’s so good with the ball, in front of the goal.”
