David Odogu is a 17-year-old central defender who already stands at 6 ft 3 and has now caught the attention of Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail.
Their report also claims that Arsenal and Brentford are keen on Odogu as well, but Wolfsburg want to keep him with the offer of a professional contract.
Should Odogu arrive at Stamford Bridge, he would obviously be one for the future, with the centre-back turning 18 in June.
The Blues have signed many young players since being taken over by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, who are evidently planning long-term.

Chelsea and Arsenal interested in David Odogu
With Chelsea constantly planning for the future these days, targeting someone like Odogu makes sense.
And at his height, you can see why the Blues and their London rivals Arsenal would be interested in him. He could become the right profile of defender for English football.

If you are a Chelsea fan, though, a 17-year-old who is not going to be ready for some time is not going to get you off your feet, especially with the club really struggling in the Premier League right now.
With Mauricio Pochettino‘s team sitting 10th in the table, supporters will want signings who can come in and make a difference straight away.Someone like Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez would fit that bracket. The Argentine is a prolific striker, scoring 16 goals in 17 league appearances this season, and has actually been linked with a move to Chelsea.
The problem is, though, Martinez is close to signing a new contract at Inter. But the point still stands. He is the sort of name Chelsea supporters will want to see arrive this month, rather than another youngster like Odogu.
