The striker has been strongly linked with both Chelsea and Arsenal as of late, but with money tight all around the Premier League, it doesn’t look like a move will happen.
Toney may be more likely to move in the summer, but according to Dean Jones, speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, a move to Arsenal or Chelsea may not be on the cards.
Indeed, according to Jones, Arsenal and Chelsea could look elsewhere, and he believes that could open the door for Tottenham to swoop and sign Toney.

Tottenham could get Toney
Jones shared his verdict on the £60m man.
“I personally have doubts about Toney going to either Arsenal or Chelsea, which sounds strange because the narrative is he’s going to one of those clubs, but I think Toney might end up going to a Tottenham. If Arsenal look elsewhere and Chelsea sign Osimhen, that might open the door for something like that to happen,” Jones said.
A great fit
Toney has been more strongly linked with a move to Arsenal or Chelsea, but a move to Tottenham could make the world of sense.
Let’s not forget, Spurs still haven’t replaced Harry Kane since selling him to Bayern Munich in the summer, and landing a 20-goal Premier League striker who can also link-up play could be just what the doctor ordered at Spurs.
Of course, whether or not this move does come to fruition remains to be seen, but if Tottenham do finish in the top four, Spurs could well swoop and hijack this move from under Arsenal and Chelsea’s noses.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming months.
