Nketiah is being linked with a move away from The Emirates as speculation swirls over the Gunners moving to sign a new forward. Indeed, reports in recent days suggest that Crystal Palace have made a loan offer for the striker.
Arsenal have players like Ivan Toney and Dusan Vlahovic on their list of potential signings to replace Nketiah if he does leave.
However, despite finding a buyer in Palace, journalist Ben Jacobs has said that as of now, Arsenal are actually intending on keeping Nketiah around.

Arsenal make decision on Eddie Nketiah
Speaking on the FIVE YouTube show, journalist Jacobs shared what he’s been hearing about about a potential Arsenal departure for Nketiah.
“They could be opportunistic in the final few days but I think the plan is to keep faith in Eddie Nketiah, resist any approach from Crystal Palace. Arsenal do have a valuation for Eddie Nketiah and somewhere down the line, they may consider offers. That number is probably £30-35m and Crystal Palace would pay that, but Arsenal feel it’s better to keep him in the squad now for the short-term and not make a move for Toney right now,” Jacobs said
Smart decision for now
The big problem Arsenal have in this window is that whoever they go and buy up top is going to come at a premium cost.

We’ve seen reports of Ivan Toney being valued at around £100m by Brentford and that is just simply too much to fork out in January you feel.
For now, keeping the ‘fabulous‘ Nketiah around and putting faith in him might be the smartest play.
Unless a top striker comes on the market for a bit cheaper who can guarantee goals, FFP is going to hold the Gunners back. And even then, they’d have to sell Nketiah to fund any move.
Nketiah, then, should take some confidence and show he can be the answer in the second half of the season
