'Unbelievable': Rob Holding amazed by £70m attacker who Arsenal reportedly want to sign

Former Arsenal player Rob Holding has now been talking up a player who his old club may target in the future.

It still doesn’t seem too long ago that Holding was one of Mikel Arteta’s loyal options at the back, glueing together a faltering title push.

And whilst Holding was a firm favourite at the Emirates, fans did seem to recognise the need for the club to move on.

That being said, the centre-back is now six months into his stay at Crystal Palace.

And despite the strong reputation Holding arrived with, he has just been a substitute for the majority of his time thus far.

Unfortunately for Holding, he is competing with Marc Guehi among others, a player Arsenal have been linked with in the past.

And whilst Holding did praise Guehi in an interview with Harry Aikines, it was another Arsenal target who he reserved special praise for.

Eberechi Eze was previously said to be a player that Arsenal admire, among other top Premier League sides.

The £70m midfielder has recovered remarkably well from an Achilles injury, and is now gathering interest.

Rob Holding has been blown away by Arsenal target Eberechi Eze
Discussing Crystal Palace’s squad, Holding said: “The group that they’ve got now is very talented, and I don’t think people realise how talented that group is.

He continued: “[Joachim] Andersen and Guehi centre-halves, top, both play for their national teams.

You’ve got Eze, I call him Ebs, unbelievable, talented, him and [Michael] Olise coming back from an injury hopefully soon, talented.”

Of course, Arsenal have also been credited with interest in Michael Olise in the past.

Perhaps Arsenal could just solve a lot of their squad issues if they bought all three of Guehi, Eze and Olise – if only it was that easy.

It seems that Mikel Arteta’s side will invest heavily once again in the summer, even if January proves to be quiet.

And if Arsenal did target a move for Eze, who has understandably impressed their pseudo-scout Holding, then fans would surely be on board.
