The Brazil international scored and provided an assist in the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest at the end of January but limped off with a knee injury late on.
He has missed Arsenal’s last four games as a result, with Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard taking turns in leading the Gunners’ attack in a run of three wins where they have scored 11 goals in the process.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Mikel Arteta revealed his forward had been making good progress in his bid to recover but suggested he had suffered a minor setback in training.
‘We could not resolve it as quickly as we wanted and he had a small reaction in training again,’ Arteta said.
‘We didn’t want to take any more risks because he has been out for quite a while and he is a player that we need at his best.
‘We decided to give him a few more days.’
Despite those concerns, Jesus was pictured arriving at the Emirates with the rest of the Arsenal squad ahead of Saturday’s evening kick-off.
YankeeGunner shared footage of the former Manchester City star strolling through the lobby, suggesting he will be involved at the Emirates tonight.
Thomas Partey was not seen in the footage of Arsenal players arriving with the midfielder also closing in on his return.

The former Atletico Madrid star has not featured since the 1-0 win over Manchester City in October.
The Ghana international has not started a game since October in what has been an injury-hit campaign but was back in full first-team training this week.
Oleksandr Zinchenko was another doubt for the Gunners having not been pictured in training on Friday. The Ukrainian has missed Arsenal’s last three matches.
