Servette have confirmed that they have an option to sign Rekik permanently at the conclusion of his loan spell. Rekik has been given the number 2 shirt at Servette.
Rekik recently returned to Arsenal following a loan spell at Wigan Athletic, where he also spent the second half of last season.
In total Rekik played 25 times for Wigan across his two spells, having previously had a frustrating spell at Sparta Rotterdam.
The centre-back, who has been capped three times by Tunisia at senior level, joined Arsenal from Hertha Berlin in January 2021.
Rekik featured for the Arsenal first-team in pre-season in 2022 but hasn’t played a competitive game for the senior side.
