'Deal agreed' - Fabrizio Romano confirms £25m transfer impacting Arsenal and Spurs

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Savio has agreed a deal to join Manchester City this summer as the London clubs are beaten to the Brazilian wonderkid by the Champions.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal on social media platform X as Pep Guardiola's side prepare to take on Brentford in Premier League action on Monday night. Romano wrote: "Manchester City agree deal to sign Savio from parent club Girona in the summer. Documents to be signed in the next days.

"Despite bids from German and English clubs, Savio will join #MCFC. He's now 100% focused on Girona to end the season in the best way."

A price for the 19-year-old, who is on loan at Girona from parent club Troyes, has not been confirmed but it had been reported that the Ligue 2 outfit would demand a fee of around £25 million for the highly-rated talent. However, Manchester City could score themselves a lower deal as both Girona and Troyes are owned by the City Football Group with a £10 million deal previously touted by TeamTalk.

The forward had been linked with moves to Arsenal and Spurs this January with Real Madrid and 'several' Bundesliga clubs also said to have registered interest in the youngster. He will join Brazilians Ederson and Matheus Nunes at the Etihad Stadium.

Savio had previously said: “I have the objective of playing for Manchester City. I think when I was signed my objective was always to get to Man City and I’m working towards that. “If one day I get to Man City, you can be sure that I’ve done things well at Girona, as I’m doing now.”

Savio had made 27 appearances in all competitions for a surprise package Girona side this season, scoring seven goals and picking up seven assists in the process. The player came through the Atletico Madrid youth system and has been a part of the under-20 Brazil national side.
