'If you look': Declan Rice now shares what he's really thought about Liverpool's performances this season

For Arsenal last night was everything that the Gunners would have wanted. Going into the game Liverpool had last minute disruptions with the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai not travelling with the squad.

Then there was also Darwin Nunez, who was touch and go for this one. All that meant is that Jurgen Klopp had to make a few tweaks from how he will have originally planned to play this game. And that played in Arsenal’s favour.

Liverpool looked disjointed, and never really threatened the Arsenal goal. There were definitely moments when Jurgen Klopp’s side seemed to take the upper hand – but those moments were too brief. In the end, Liverpool simply didn’t create enough.

However, despite the disappointing performance, Declan Rice still had high praise for Liverpool after the end of the game.

Declan Rice on Liverpool
Speaking to beIN SPORTS, Declan Rice revealed that he thought Liverpool have been the best team in the league so far this season.

“They have been the best team in the league if you look on paper and statistically, this is only their second loss today,” Rice said.

“We knew how big today was going into the game, the momentum needed from everyone, staff, players and fans and it transmitted on to the field today. You could see for 90 minutes it was a team that would do anything to win a football match. In the end, we came out victorious and it is a very good feeling all round.”

Rice isn’t wrong about calling Liverpool the best team in the league. Jurgen Klopp’s side are still top of the table, and if they win the rest of their games that is how things will remain at the end of the season.
