Jurrien Timber & Martin Odegaard blown away with the performance of Arsenal star in 4-1 win vs Newcastle

Arsenal blew Newcastle United away at Emirates Stadium on Saturday to bounce back from their disappointing defeat at the hands of FC Porto in style.

The Gunners headed into the game on the back of a 1-0 loss in the first-leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie, and they were determined to return to winning ways and also revenge having lost 1-0 to the Magpies in controversial circumstances back in November at St. James’ Park.

Arsenal strolled to a 4-1 victory thanks to an own goal from Sven Botman and strikes from Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Jakub Kiwior.

Newcastle pulled one back through Joe Willock in the 84th minute but it was too little, too late for the visitors.

Kiwior was opening his account for the season, heading in a corner from Declan Rice to put the nail in the coffin, and his teammates were delighted for him, with Jurrien Timber and Martin Odegaard blown away with his brilliant performance going by their reactions on his Instagram post after the game.

The Poland international has been continually linked with an exit since last summer, but it is hard to see him leaving Arsenal if he keeps performing like this every game.

Kiwior has featured in each of the last nine games the Gunners have played across all competitions, weighing in with two assists and a goal, and the versatile defender is slowly establishing himself as a key player under manager Mikel Arteta.

The 24-year-old was one of the best Arsenal players last night, and he has played all 90 minutes in his last four games as a result of his improved form.

The North Londoners return to action when they visit Sheffield United on March 4, and Kiwior and his teammates will be buzzing ahead of the game as they look to keep the pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
