‘Nightmare to play against’: Gary Neville blown away by two ‘electric’ Arsenal players vs Liverpool

Gary Neville gave his verdict on Arsenal wingers Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka while watching them in action against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.
The former Manchester United defender was hugely impressed by Martinelli and Saka.

So, what did Gary Neville say about Arsenal duo Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka? Let’s take a look.

Gary Neville praises Arsenal wingers Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka
Well, Arsenal took on Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

As you would expect, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka were the two wide-forwards for Arsenal in a 4-3-3 formation.

Both the players scored. While England international winger Saka found the back of the net in the 14th minute, Martinelli shot home midway through the second half.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville was following the match for Sky Sports.

The pundit was on commentary duty for the match on Sky Sports, and in the 16th minute, he noted how Martinelli and Saka were playing against Liverpool and were a problem for the Liverpool defence with their pace.

Neville said on Sky Sports Premier League (4:46 pm, February 4, 2024): “It’s a thing of beauty, Martinelli and Saka, when they are on fire like this. So special. They are electric to watch, nightmare to play against.”

My View: Martinelli and Saka are key players in Arsenal’s title quest
In my opinion, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are two of the best young wingers in the world and are big players for Arsenal.

I believe that for Arsenal to beat Liverpool and Manchester City to the Premier League title this season, both Martinelli and Saka will have to be on top of their game.

While Martinelli has scored 31 goals and given 14 assists in 114 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career, Saka has scored 39 goals and provided 33 assists in 157 league matches.
