That is according to TEAMtalk.
So, what is the latest on Arsenal target Ivan Toney? Let’s take a look…
Arsenal on alert as Ivan Toney contract talks stall
Well – according to TEAMtalk – the Brentford No.17 is actually open to staying with the Bees.
However, Toney and Brentford are said to be getting nowhere in contract negotiations, which has put Arsenal on alert to the situation.
Arteta is described as being very keen to bring the 27-year-old to the Emirates Stadium this summer as the Spaniard aims to add a clinical No.9 to his squad.
TEAMtalk add that Brentford have actually offered Toney a new contract, but it remains unsigned as all parties are yet to find an agreement.
The Northampton-born striker sees his current terms expire in July 2025.

TEAMtalk state that Toney will be sold this summer if the situation remains unchanged at the end of the season, or else Brentford risk losing the £60m rated forward for nothing in 2025.
The Arsenal target – who Tottenham are also keen to sign – has scored three goals in his four Premier League appearances since returning from a ban.
Arsenal must pounce as Ivan Toney doubts evaporateArsenal were actually linked with a January move for Toney as his ban was about to end – although that would have been a risky decision after the striker had just spent eight months on the sidelines.
Now – however – after netting three goals in four appearances since returning, there are few doubts remaining.

Toney has proven himself to be the same player who scored 20 Premier League goals last season – only Erling Haaland and Harry Kane netted more – and appears to be a genuine solution to Arteta’s No.9 problem.
