Chelsea and Arsenal told price for Viktor Gyokeres as Sporting 'will cash in' this summer

Viktor Gyokeres has been in flying form for Sporting this season
Chelsea and Arsenal could reportedly secure the signature of Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres this summer. The striker has been in sensational form so far this season, and his performances have not gone unnoticed among top clubs around Europe.

Mauricio Pochettino has made it no secret that he is keen to bolster his forward ranks over the summer, with acquiring the services of a top quality No. 9 being regarded as a priority by the higher powers at Stamford Bridge.

Brentford forward Ivan Toney and Napoli talisman Victor Osimhen are among the Blues’ top considerations, though a fee in excess of £100million would be required to sign either of the aforementioned duo.

Swedish international Gyokeres is also admired by Chelsea, though he was previously ruled that he could be another pricey option which would require immense player sales to fund. However, the Blues may not need to match the striker’s £86million release clause to bring him back to England.

According to the Mirror, Sporting are willing to strike a deal for a fee in the region of £68.5m this summer, despite publicly insisting that they would not be willing to negotiate a deal for their forward unless his release clause was activated.

Gyokeres has been in flying form since touching down in Lisbon over the summer, scoring 22 goals in 24 league appearances, and his prolific nature could represent a good transfer opportunity for Chelsea to pounce upon as Sporting 'will cash in' on their star.
