Gary Neville left bemused by Mikel Arteta tactics during Man City vs Arsenal

Gary Neville has been left bemused by Arsenal's tactics during their Premier League clash against Manchester City. The Gunners could go four points clear of the reigning Premier League champions if they secure all three points at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon. But to do so, they will need to win at a ground they haven't won at since December 2015.

Arsenal won the reverse fixture between the two teams 1-0 back in October. However, Neville appears to have questioned their approach at the Etihad.

"Arsenal are just sat back there; Arsenal are not really getting out; they're not really pressing," he said on Sky Sports with the scores at 0-0 in the first half.

The Gunners have been boosted by the return of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel from injury, with Gabriel Martinelli on the bench. Speaking about Arsenal's belief going into the game, Arteta said: "Yeah, we had some clashes, in the FA Cup as well and in the Community Shield.

"It's all great experiences. They have raised the bar in this league and football in general to levels that haven't been seen before. That's the beauty of this sport because it makes you better and challenges you more. You have to keep up with that pace and that’s what we’re trying to do."

Speaking before the game, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said: "You want to be in this situation and now you need to step up. This is who we are. It's another game. We know the opponent we are facing.

"The best way to do it is to believe you can do it. We have to show that on pitch [that we are better than the team that came to the Etihad last season and lost 4-1]. "
