Mikel Arteta will hope to have the full complement of his Arsenal squad available for the clash against Manchester City. At the end of March, the two Premier League title rivals will come head-to-head at Etihad Stadium, but first a number of international fixtures must be played.
Both Man City and Arsenal will have a number of representatives in action over the break, however Gabriel Magalhaes will not be one of them. Earlier this week, the Arsenal star pulled out of Brazil's upcoming friendlies against England and Spain. “Today [Monday] we had another casualty. Unfortunately, Gabriel Magalhães is uncalled," Brazil boss Dorival Junior admitted.
Arteta will be hoping he can use the two weeks at London Colney to recover from the unspecified issue alongside his international team-mate Gabriel Martinelli. The 22-year-old has missed the last few weeks with a foot injury but he has recently taken part in light training with the aim of returning against Man City.
Arteta recently gave his verdict on the summer signing's response to the injury, hinting he is close to playing again. "Absolutely. It's been a joy," he said as the 22-year-old returned to partial training. "The physios and medical staff have been impressed with his attitude. Now we have to manage because it's the last stage of that difficult injury but I think he's in the right way."
Any injuries to key players at this stage of the season would be a significant blow for Arsenal and one of those fears appears to have arrived. England, when posting an update to social media, confirmed that Bukayo Saka, Harry Kane, Cole Palmer and Jordan Henderson trained indoors on Monday.

His absence, while an understandable concern, is thought to be precautionary however with it still expected he will be available to play against Man City on Sunday, March 31. England take on Brazil this Saturday before then facing Belgium three days later and with both games as friendlies, it may be unlikely that Saka is risked.
