‘None of that is true’: Pundit shares what Aaron Ramsdale has privately told him about Ben White and England

Ben White has caused a bit of a stir over the past week or so.

The Arsenal defender turned down an England call-up, and, as you can imagine, that’s caused a bit of uproar among Three Lions fans.

Indeed, for many, getting the call to play for England is the biggest honour you can receive in football, but White has passed on the chance to live out what is the childhood dream for many.

Of course, there are many theories doing the roads about why White wouldn’t want to play for England, and one suggestion has been that White doesn’t get on with the other players.

However, speaking on his podcast, Ben Foster has dispelled this myth, claiming that Aaron Ramsdale has privately told him that White is a really good person who gets on with everyone.

Foster shared what Ramsdale told him about White.

“Again, there are loads of stories out there about him not getting on with all the other players, but I spoke to Aaron Ramsdale about it and he said he’s a top lad, Ben White is a top, top lad, don’t worry about anything like that, none of that is true, he’s just a top lad,” Foster said.

Regardless of what is said about White and England and what the truth is, these theories will always do the rounds.

It has to be said, this whole situation is strange. There aren’t many players who have declined the chance to play for the Three Lions, while there are even fewer who have gone home from a World Cup halfway through a tournament.

Whatever the truth is, it’s clear there’s something that isn’t quite right between White and the England camp right now.

It remains to be seen whether or not any more will come of this story, but the details of White’s England stance remain murky.
