Report: European club want 'world-class' Arsenal star, could form new partnership with Tottenham man

Jorginho, 32, joined The Gunners from Chelsea back in January 2023 and has been a fringe player since. Starting a few games here and there but less so since the arrival of Declan Rice at Arsenal last summer.

The former Napoli star is said to be growing frustrated at Arsenal’s lack of activity when it comes to his new contract. Arsenal have the option to hand Jorginho another 12 months, which is in his current deal.

So, where could Jorginho end up next? His agent has bigged up a return to Serie A for the Italy star, which would probably suit the midfielder given Serie A’s slower pace with Jorginho well into his thirties.

Juventus want to sign Arsenal man Jorginho and Tottenham star
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato deliver an update on his next potential club. They say that Juventus, who have been linked with a move for Jorginho in the past – are keen on luring him back to Italian football.

Described as “world class” by Declan Rice recently, Jorginho still has plenty to offer and playing in his home country will at least continue to see him remain a regular part of Luciano Spalletti’s Italy side.

A move to Juventus, though, could see Jorginho form an unlikely partnership with a Tottenham player at The Old Lady. Indeed, Juventus are also considering a move to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for £17m.

Juventus are likely to need to bring in midfielders. Adrien Rabiot is expected to leave the club, with Arsenal among his admirers. Carlos Alcaraz is also set to leave the club, when his loan comes to an end.

Jorginho and Hojbjerg in central midfield is very Juventus
Jorginho has more than 150 Serie A outings to his name already, while the way Hojbjerg plays suits Italian football. Not with a particularly quick tempo, or going past players, but defensive minded and technical.

It would be surprising to see a combination of an Arsneal and a Tottenham player at Juventus, but Max Allegri needs central midfielders and both fit the kind of midfield you would expected to see at Juventus.

But, with Hojbjerg keen to leave Tottenham and Jorginho becoming frustrated at Arsenal, it does look more than likely that both players will be leaving this summer and Juventus seems like an obvious move.
