Arsenal news: Kai Havertz blasted by icon as Erling Haaland issues ominous Gunners warning

Arsenal lead the way with just three games left of their Premier League season, but are bracing themselves to come agonisingly short of winning the title.
The Gunners are top of the table with 80 points after 35 matches, but rivals Manchester City have a game in hand on Mikel Arteta's side. Ironically, that game in hand will be against Arsenal's fierce rivals Tottenham.

Arteta's men held on to beat Spurs 3-2 on Sunday, though Kai Havertz has come under fire from club icon Emmanuel Adebayor despite scoring his side's third goal. That blast comes as Havertz's team-mate Ben White was lavished with praise by Ian Wright.

And City's superstar striker Erling Haaland has sent an ominious warning to the Gunners as the run-in ramps up. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Arsenal news.

Havertz blasted by Adebayor
Former Arsenal star Emmanuel Adebayor has slated Kai Havertz, despite the attacker being bang in form for Mikel Arteta's side. Havertz has scored 13 goals this season, but Adebayor does not believe he is up to the standards expected at the Gunners.

“He has adapted well, but I am not a big fan of the player, to be honest. He isn’t that strong and when you are playing up front for a team like Arsenal. First and foremost, you have to be strong and you have to be clever," he told Premier League Productions.

“Football is a game, whenever you score, you are the hero and when you don’t score, then you are the villain. If he doesn’t score and Arsenal ends up losing, then the fans won’t be happy about it."

White hailed by Wright
Ben White has been hailed for his role in the win over Tottenha
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has remarkably dubbed Ben White the “thinking man’s s***house" after his rol in the win over Tottenham. In the build up to their third goal, White was tasked with disrupting Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, a role Wright was delighted with.

"Ben White’s s***housery was beautiful. He’s the thinking man’s s***house, that’s the best way I can put it. The way Vicario got upset was f*****g brilliant, he went straight to 100 and all he did was try to undo his gloves," he told the Wrighy's House podcast.

"Ben White is a thinking man’s s***house. There are three games left now so everyone should know Ben White is going to go on the opposition goalkeeper and f**k around with him. For Tottenham to concede two goals with no one marking our s***house is poor, it’s poor."

Haaland issues ominous warning
Erling Haaland has warned Arsenal that he is fit and firing once again as the season enters its final stages. The striker has endured an injury-disrupted campaign for Manchester City, but he has now told his side's title rivals that he feels back to his best.

"This is the maybe the most exciting time to be a footballer. There’s not many who can relate but this is why I play football – the feeling before the game, you’re a bit nervous. This is fantastic and it’s why I love football because of these feelings," he said.

“So many of these guys have done it before and it’s about keeping the head calm and not wanting too much. It’s been scratching inside of me to get back and now I’m back and feeling good. I’m ready to attack the last five finals.”
