The ex-Spurs scout believes that the Australian doesn’t know what his best Tottenham XI is at the moment.
Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg were the chosen midfield pairing as Spurs were beaten 3-2 by Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (28 April), with the former hooked at half-time.
And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – doesn’t understand why Postecoglou keeps changing things.
“I was worried before kick-off to see that Postecoglou had once again made changes in the middle of the park,” King said.
“He seems to be changing the midfield around every game, which has surprised me.
“I think that was the third or fourth time that Spurs have lined up with a different midfield pairing in the last month or so, which I cannot understand.
“Everybody is fit at the moment, so it seems as if he doesn’t know what his best eleven is.”

At one point this season it seemed as if Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr were the preferred midfield pairing.
However in recent weeks that has changed, with the midfield duo experiencing a slight dip in form.
Bentancur and Hojbjerg have both been in and out of the team, as have Sarr and Bissouma, with Spurs struggling for consistency.
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou looking exasperated.
Ange Postecoglou cannot get the midfield balance right at Tottenham.
