Gabriel fit to start, Jesus decision made - Arsenal expected XI vs Aston Villa

Mikel Arteta has been very insistent that his focus is purely on Aston Villa. "Reflection done, Bayern done. Now it’s only Aston Villa," was his blunt verdict in his pre-match press conference.

Regardless of what he says though, the Spaniard will still have at least a slight eye on Wednesday's second leg. At the same time he'll be wary of the fact that he can't afford to drop points in the Premier League at all.

With Manchester City and Liverpool to play first though, he'll be wary of ceding any ground in the title race. Here football.london takes a look at who Arteta might pick.

Goalkeeper - David Raya

For the first time in a long time on Tuesday David Raya didn't look calm between the sticks at Arsenal. Taking him out of the team would create more of a story than it's worth at this point though.
Right back - Takehiro Tomiyasu
Arsenal's Takehiro Tomiyasu celebrates his sides first goal during the Premier League match between Brentford FC and Arsenal FC at Gtech Community Stadium on November 25, 2023 in Brentford, United Kingdom.
Ben White has started every single game since the international break. There's a strong chance he could do that between now and the end of the season. But if Mikel Arteta wants to rotate then now is the chance and Takehiro Tomiyasu is a great replacement.  Stephanie Meek
Centre back - William Saliba

For the first time in months, William Saliba looked nervous against Bayern. He'll be glad to have the chance to put that behind him quickly against Villa.
