‘Issue’: Chris Sutton says one Liverpool player is now becoming a problem for Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool lost against Atalanta in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening, but we cannot question how good Jurgen Klopp’s side have been in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 71 points from 31 matches, level on points with leaders Arsenal.

Defending champions Manchester City are third with 70 points from 31 matches.

Liverpool have lost just twice in the Premier League all season and have scored 72 goals.

However, Chris Sutton has noted an issue with Liverpool lately. The former Chelsea striker has noted that Mohamed Salah has not been at his best in recent games, and the BBC Sport pundit thinks that it is an issue.

Sutton made the comments about Salah while looking ahead to the Premier League game between Liverpool and Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday.

The BBC Sport pundit has backed the Reds to pick up all three points from the encounter against the Eagles.

Salah had good chances against Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend, although I have to note that he scored from the penalty spot late in the game.

The Egyptian forward, who could leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window, did not have the best of times against Sheffield United either.

Chris Sutton has a concern over Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah
Sutton told BBC Sport: “This is a must-win for Liverpool following their slip-up at Old Trafford. They have got some tricky games in their run-in but I don’t see this being one of them, even though they play in the Europa League against Atalanta on Thursday.

“One issue for Jurgen Klopp’s side is that Mohamed Salah has not been at his sharpest since he has come back from injury – he has been missing chances that you expect him to put away.

“Crystal Palace have now gone five games without a win since beating Burnley in Oliver Glasner’s first match in charge. They need to pick up some points, and quickly, to avoid being dragged into the relegation battle but they are not getting anything at Anfield.

“Sutton’s prediction: 3-0.”

Mohamed Salah could outscore Erling Haaland
In my opinion, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah could end up as the top scorer in the Premier League this season.

Salah has scored 17 goals in 25 Premier League games for Liverpool this season. He has also given nine assists in those games.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has found the back of the net 19 times in the league so far this season.

There is a very good chance that Salah could outscore Haaland in the Premier League this season.
