The match marked Klopp's final match as Reds manager at Old Trafford as he prepares to depart at the end of the season, and the United faithful were keen to give him quite the send-off.

As the German coach made his way down the tunnel, footage saw fans chant: "He's cracking up, he's cracking up, Jurgen's cracking up."

Klopp did his best to ignore the crowd but it became too much and he cupped his ear to the wailing fans.

As he shrugged off their reaction, a grin could be seen growing on his face while some United fans cheered and others were not so welcoming.

A clip of the moment has since been posted on social media and gone viral, with the original clip being viewed over 320,000 times.

The chant refers to a similar chant that was sung at former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez after they crumbled in the 2008/09 title race.

It came after a pulsating match at Old Trafford that marked Klopp's final match at the famous stadium as Liverpool boss, though it potentially harms their title chances this season.

A draw at United has allowed Arsenal to remain top of the Premier League, level on points with the Reds on 71 with seven games to go.

Liverpool had taken the lead through Luis Diaz but went on to rue a number of missed chances as United equalised with their first effort on goal, an incredible 40-yard strike from Bruno Fernandes after a defensive error from Jarrell Quansah.

The Red Devils then took the lead through another sublime strike from Kobbie Mainoo before Salah grabbed a late equaliser.

"We had big chances before and after they scored," Klopp said after the match. "That's now the situation. It's a point at Manchester United, I know people see it as two points lost.

"I see it as we have a point more than we had before the game. It's an away game at Manchester United, I think for us this game is more special than for other teams because against us they put an extra shift in. That's how it is.

"We'll face that again in a week at Everton, these are the games we have to be ready for. We fully deserved the equaliser, that's it."
