Lewis Hamilton storms out of Japanese GP interview as F1 star channels Jurgen Klopp

Lewis Hamilton made a swift exit from an interview conducted post-Japanese Grand Prix, after biting back at a reporter's query about Ferrari.

Hamilton channeled his inner-Jurgen Klopp, who also stormed off from an interview earlier this year, when his frustration at a ninth-placed finish crept in during his post-race press commitments.

The Brit's appearance in the print media section was brief as it took only two queries for Hamilton to storm off. His irritation was triggered by a journalist who asked: "Are you a little bit jealous of the Ferraris at the moment? Because they are faster?"

Hamilton snapped back with: "Do you have any better questions? " After the reporter's apology and before another question was lobbed his way, the Mercedes driver made his exit. Meanwhile, his press officer rounded off the interrupted session with a curt 'Thank You'.

What's hot
"It took us two stints to finally dial more and more wing in to makeup for that loss. Last stint, I was better, but it was too late, I had 10 seconds to regain."

And he told Sky Sports: "The hard tyre was pretty bad and the medium was much better. In hindsight, we should have kept two medium tyres, but in general the car was pretty bad today."

Mercedes head honcho Toto Wolff believes it was those early laps that completely threw off their chances of nailing big points at Suzuka: "The second and third stints were super quick - we would have been racing for a podium, but for an atrocious first stint. We need to find out what it was."
