The Gunners went to the Allianz Arena after a 2-2 draw in the first leg last week. Mikel Arteta‘s side believed they could do it and Arsene Wenger even predicted they would win the game.
However, a brilliant header from Joshua Kimmich in the second half combined with some exceptional defending throughout the game gave Bayern the win.
The German giants are now through to the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they will face Real Madrid. The Galacticos knocked Manchester City out on penalties last night.
While assessing the game, Henry was really angry with one Arsenal player.

Thierry Henry blasts Takehiro Tomiyasu after what he did vs Bayern Munich
Arsenal were very much in the game in the first half.
Both teams were a bit cautious at the start of the game, but the Gunners held the ball well and even created a couple of chances for Gabriel Martinelli.

Bayern Munich came out much stronger in the second half of the game and put Arsenal under a lot of pressure. They even hit the woodwork twice in the space of a few seconds.
In the 63rd minute of the game, after some underwhelming defending by Arsenal, Joshua Kimmich found the back of the net through a bullet header, and that was enough for the hosts to win the game.
Analysing the goal after full-time, Jamie Carragher blamed Martinelli for switching off and losing Kimmich inside the box. The Liverpool legend believed he was the reason why Arsenal conceded.
Thierry Henry, however, disagreed. The legendary Frenchman pointed the finger at Takehiro Tomiyasu and claimed that the 25-year-old was needlessly concentrating on an out-of-position Leroy Sane instead of closing the gap.
Henry, who seemed really angry, said on CBS Sports: “Jamie, can I play the devil’s advocate? If I’m the winger there, defending for Tomiyasu, you’re going to see Martinelli defending there on Leroy Sane. I invite you to look at what Tomiyasu does.
“Martinelli has got to defend, so you (Martinelli) are doing his (Tomiyasu’s) job right now, so you go all the way there. Please, stay with Tomiyasu.
“What is Leroy Sane going to do there? You’re looking at him. He can’t score! Close the gap! He can’t score! What is he going to do? He’s not even in the frame.
“This is where he was, Jamie, I know I’m going far, but he was there (off the pitch), how is he going to score? And Tomiyasu is like this (looking at Sane). Close the gap!”

Another Arsenal player had a shocking game
Takehiro Tomiyasu may have been partly at fault for Bayern Munich’s goal, but the Japan international had a solid game overall.
The reason why Arsenal lost yesterday is not because of Tomiyasu or his fellow defenders, it’s because of what their attacking players did, or failed to do, especially Bukayo Saka.
The Englishman is one of Arsenal‘s best players. He is an unbelievable talent, but we’re sure he will agree that he had the worst game of his Gunners career last night.
Saka registered zero shots on target, created zero chances and failed with both, his crosses as well as his dribbles. He lost possession of the ball 13 times too.
