Perhaps Sunday’s draw with Manchester City perfectly delineated where Mikel Arteta needs to improve his squad next season.

The core of Arsenal’s side were superb, with Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba in particular delivering a performance for the ages.
But in terms of improvement, it felt as if Arteta could have got much more from the left, with neither Jakub Kiwior or Gabriel Jesus thriving.
That’s not to say either should be sold, far from it, but Arsenal could improve in those areas allowing the duo to play in their preferred roles.
And whilst a defender, a midfielder and winger would represent a strong window for the club amid all the players who may leave, a new striker will surely be on the agenda as well.
It felt as if Arsenal were close to pulling the trigger in January, perhaps in pursuit of Ivan Toney, but didn’t necessarily get the go ahead from Brentford.

But according to SportsLens, that could be a different situation with Alexander Isak.
Newcastle are increasingly open to selling Arsenal target Alexander Isak this summer
According to the report, Newcastle United are becoming more ‘open-minded’ about selling Isak amid their difficult financial situation.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham are said to be interested, but either club would have to pay around £100m to sign the 24-year-old.

Of course, given Isak’s superb record in England, and the lack of availability among other top strikers right now, a move could still be worth it for Arsenal.
The club seem to be most strongly linked with Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres right now, a move which wouldn’t necessarily be the best stylistic fit.
It appears that Arsenal need either a striker who can dominate the box or to be excellent in transition, with Gyokeres not quite fitting that brief.
On the other hand, Isak, who has scored a pretty incredible 24 goals in 43 Premier League games, could be the man.
