The Gunners were downed by a second half Joshua Kimmich header in an otherwise tight and cagey evening at the Allianz Arena, with Thomas Tuchel's men winning 1-0 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate.
In what was undoubtedly one of the biggest tests of his Arsenal career, Mikel Arteta had plenty of big decisions to make this evening. Here's what Daily Star Sport reckoned he got wrong out there.
Havertz over Jesus
Havertz
Havertz was barely involved, and should've been dropped for Jesus
Granted, Gabriel Jesus' performance against Villa at the weekend wasn't anything to write home about, but in hindsight, the Gunners could have done with some of the Brazilian's experience tonight.
Jesus scored 20 Champions League goals in 38 games for Manchester City, and having a credible goal-threat (sorry Kai) occupying the minds of the Bayern's defenders couldn't done wonders for Arsenal.
Havertz spent the game floating around like a leather-allergic ghost, and picking him over Jesus, who came on with 20 minutes left, was the wrong call.
