No side has ever won the Premier League four times in a row, although Pep Guardiola‘s treble winners are eight games away from doing so if Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp fail to keep competing.
Now, the thoughts of other Premier League managers on the title race have come to light…
What rival Premier League managers have been saying about Arsenal and Liverpool
Well – according to Miguel Delaney’s Reading the Game newsletter (sign up needed) – there are some “widespread” beliefs about Arsenal and Liverpool between other Premier League managers.
It is said that most view Liverpool as having the “highest ceiling” compared to Arsenal and Manchester City, suggesting that many believe Klopp’s men have more gears to move into.
We are inclined to agree with that.
For whatever reason, Liverpool do not seem to be swatting opponents aside as easily as Arsenal and Manchester City can, but are impressively still grinding out win after win.
Delaney adds that Premier League managers believe Arsenal are the side with the most solid foundations, with many rival coaches respecting how Arteta has made the Gunners more formidable.

MORE ARSENAL STORIES
Last but not least, Manchester City are seen as the most experienced side who have been there and done it already, with some managers viewing the Citizens as favourites.
Whatever happens, Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta deserve credit
Even if Manchester City do go on to win a fourth consecutive Premier League title, the coaching abilities of Klopp and Arteta deserve huge credit.
Liverpool looked toothless for the majority of last season, eventually finishing fifth after a miserable campaign. However, Klopp has overseen an incredible turnaround, with Liverpool scoring more goals in all competitions (125) than any other side in Europe this season – while also conceding just 28 in 30 Premier League outings.

In regards to Arsenal, attack certainly wasn’t an issue last term as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli caused havoc, but it was in defence where the Gunners looked quite soft.
Now – however – Arsenal boast the best backline in the Premier League with just 24 goals shipped in 30 games – opponents barely even have a shot against the north Londoners in 2024.
Arsenal have remarkably only conceded four Premier League goals in 2024 so far.
Of course, Klopp and Arteta would much rather have a trophy than credit, but their coaching skills simply cannot be ignored regardless of who wins the Premier League title
