William Saliba says Arsenal have a 22-year-old player who's actually more skilful than Bukayo Saka

Arsenal star William Saliba has revealed who the most skilful player at the club is right now.

The Gunners dropped to second in the Premier League table following their 0-0 draw against Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday.

It was a resilient performance from Mikel Arteta’s side, and they had a few chances to score as well. However, Arsenal‘s attackers didn’t take their opportunities.

Things would’ve perhaps been different if their most skilful player had started the game.

William Saliba names Arsenal’s most skilful player
Arsenal have a number of top-quality players in their side.

Mikel Arteta has built a phenomenal squad, one that is capable of beating any side in the Premier League as well as Europe on their day.

That is why Arsenal fans are so excited about the club. The present looks incredible but the future is even better as most of their players are nowhere near their prime.

However, among all the players at the club right now, who is the most skilful footballer?

William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes sat down for a quick game on Sky Sports’ YouTube channel, and the two defenders were asked to name the club’s most skilful player.

We expected the answer to be either Martin Odegaard, who is just a magician on the ball, or Bukayo Saka, who is fantastic as well. Even Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard and Oleksandr Zinchenko are good shouts

However, both Saliba and Gabriel named the exact same player as the most skilful at the club – Gabriel Martinelli!

Arsenal had to settle for a 0-0 draw against Manchester City on Sunday.

Gabriel Martinelli, who had been suffering from a foot injury, was not fit enough to start at the Etihad – he only came on as a substitute for the final 12 minutes of the game.

Ian Wright wasn’t too unhappy with the draw on Sunday, but the Arsenal legend claimed after the game that if Martinelli had started, his side would’ve come away with all three points.

“Can I be honest? If Martinelli’s playing that game, I think we win that game,” Wright said.

Martinelli could’ve had a great chance to win the game right at the end for Arsenal, but Leandro Trossard’s decision to not cross the ball to the Brazilian ruined that opportunity.
