Arteta received the ‘Best Premier League Coach’ award from former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas at the Globe Soccer Awards. Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso won the overall best coach award at Tuesday's event in Sardinia, Italy.
And when asked what's next for Arsenal after receiving his award, Arteta said: “Win. Win. Win. That’s what we want. Now we have a team who are full of enthusiasm and so hungry to win trophies.
"We know the competition but we believe we can do it so we're going to give it a real go." The 2024/25 Premier League season is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, August 17. with all fixtures released at 9am on Tuesday, June 18.
Arsenal will be hoping to end a 20-year wait for a league title having last lifted the Premier League trophy in 2004. Speaking about their disappointment after missing out to City, Arteta said on the final day of the season: "First of all congrats to City. Unbelievable what they’ve done since December. Every performance has been at the highest we’ve ever seen and still it wasn’t enough.
"The staff and players have pushed every limit and every margin that we could to win the Premier League. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.
When asked if they would need 100 points to win the league next season, he replied: "Yeah. I was there when we did 100 points. I know. Nobody has to explain what the level is. I was there. We are in the right path and the right journey. We need to put the teeth and bite into it."
