The Gunners’ 1-0 win at Manchester United yesterday ensured they will go into the final day of the season in with a shot, regardless of what happens between Spurs and Man City this week.
Last season, Arsenal fell away with a few games to go but they’ve recovered well this summer to push City all the way.
However, if they miss out again and on the final day, then Chris Sutton believes that going into next season, things could be even harder for the Gunners.

Chris Sutton shares why Arsenal could find next season so hard if they don’t win the title
Speaking on the It’s All Kicking Off Podcast today, Sutton made a worrying prediction about how Arsenal’s players could feel next season.
“I just want to make this point, from a player’s perspective. If Arsenal can’t get over the line in a season like they have had this season then maybe next season the doubts will start kicking in.
“If they have been that good,” Sutton said.
Arsenal have to just keep going
Mikel Arteta won’t have it any other way but this Arsenal team will simply have to keep going and pushing.
We’ve seen over the years how Liverpool have racked up huge points totals only to be seen off by City in the end and it looks like the same is happening to the Gunners.
As we know, Liverpool got their reward in the end by finally winning in the Covid-19 season.
Arsenal, if they keep on this path, will eventually get there as well. They showed in the summer by signing the likes of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and David Raya that they can always improve.
And if they do it again this summer with more fresh faces, they’ll be ready to go again next term.
