The Gunners need to beat the Toffees and hope that Manchester City drop points at home against West Ham United to win the Premier League title.
However, Neville does not think Arsenal’s task is an easy one and warned the Gunners to focus on themselves.
Speaking on Sky Sports (14 May), he said: “Arsenal obviously have a difficult game on Sunday against Everton – they just need to make sure they do their job.”
Can Everton cause an upset against title-chasing Arsenal?
Arsenal would no doubt feel great frustration if they drop points at Everton on the final day and fail to take advantage of a City slip-up against West Ham.
The Toffees have nothing to play for, with safety from relegation assured, but Sean Dyche is certainly not the type of manager to allow his players to drop their effort levels.
The reverse fixture at Goodison Park on 17 September was a tight affair, with Arsenal claiming a narrow 1-0 win through Leandro Trossard’s 69th-minute winner in a game where the Gunners had struggled to break their hosts down despite dominating the ball.

Mikel Arteta saw his side record 74 per cent possession but mustered just four shots on target, with an expected goals on target of 0.81 – a figure that would have been 0.16 but for Trossard’s goal, evidence of how little the Gunners were able to trouble Jordan Pickford beyond the match-winning strike [FotMob].
Dyche’s side could prove similarly stubborn at the Emirates Stadium on 19 May.
