The Gunners’ focus is on winning their final three games of the season to give themselves the best chance of lifting the Premier League title.
Manchester City remain the favourites, but all Arsenal need is to see Pep Guardiola‘s side drop points in one of their remaining games.
Irrespective of what happens in the next few weeks, Arsenal are focusing on their squad for next season and that includes reinforcements in the summer.
However, before that, they have to sort out their current squad, and it looks like Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar have made their decision on one player.
Here’s what the journalist revealed early this morning.

Fabrizio Romano shares update on Jorginho’s Arsenal contract
Arsenal signed Jorginho from Chelsea in January last year.
MORE ARSENAL STORIES
A few members of the Gunners fan base were upset that Mikel Arteta chose to sign him instead of splashing the cash on someone like Moises Caicedo, who Arsenal tried to sign in that window.
Now, after having Jorginho at the club for over a year and seeing how Caicedo has fared at Chelsea, everyone’s praising Arteta for making the right decision.
Jorginho’s current contract at Arsenal expires at the end of this season.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the Italian’s future over the last few months, but it looks like Arsenal have made their mind up.
Fabrizio Romano, after David Ornstein, reported last night that Arsenal are in talks with Jorginho over extending his contract beyond the end of this summer.
Now, the journalist has claimed that negotiations are at an advanced stage, and it looks like Jorginho will be putting pen to paper very soon.
Romano wrote in his Daily Briefing: “One of the big stories yesterday is the news that Jorginho looks set to sign a new contract to extend his stay at Arsenal, with his previous deal having been due to expire this summer, making him a free agent and resulting in some speculation about interest from Juventus.
“The negotiation is advanced for Jorginho to extend his stay at Arsenal. More will follow in the next days, but talks are advancing well and Jorginho is happy at Arsenal, so they are confident to continue together.
“I’m not aware of contacts with Juventus honestly, despite what’s been reported elsewhere.”
Arsenal could sell Jorginho’s teammate this summer
A new contract for Jorginho is excellent news for Arsenal fans.
The Italian has done a brilliant job since joining the Gunners from Chelsea. His quality in midfield and his experience on and off the pitch have really helped Mikel Arteta’s side.
Now, if Jorginho does extend his contract, Arsenal may consider selling Thomas Partey.
The Ghana international will enter the final year of his deal this summer. As incredible a player as he is, his injury record makes him slightly unreliable for the Gunners.
We think Jorginho staying this summer suggests that Arsenal would be willing to sell Partey, and they could get some decent money for him if Saudi clubs show interest again.
