The Gunners took the Premier League title battle to the final day of the season, showing how far they’ve come in the past few years.
This summer, Arsenal’s job will be to strengthen their squad so they can get their hands on a trophy that has eluded them since 2004.
A striker is likely to be high up on the Gunners’ agenda, as it can be argued that the lack of a No. 9 cost them points last season.
Now, a report has emerged claiming a price tag has been set for “one of the hottest strikers in the world”, and that Arsenal can afford it.

Arsenal can afford Newcastle asking price for Alexander Isak
The player in question is Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak, one of the Premier League’s most exciting strikers.
According to Football Transfers, the Magpies have set their starting price for Isak at £110million, which would represent a club-record fee for Arsenal.
The report then goes on to claim that the Gunners can afford to match Newcastle’s asking price, but they are likely to prioritise a move in midfield instead.
Newcastle may also be willing to lower their asking price for Isak if Arsenal include Aaron Ramsdale in the deal, but the report says they’re reluctant to let him leave.
Isak would be an incredible signing for Arsenal
Isak has made a name for himself as one of the best strikers in the Premier League and in the world.
“Who wouldn’t want to take Isak?” Tony Cascarino said on talkSPORT in May.
“He is a dangerous striker, he has got a lot of ability, he is quick, he is a very good finisher, especially in one-on-ones. He is one of the best out there.”
Meanwhile, The Athletic’s Newcastle correspondent Chris Waugh told the Brentford website in May: “Isak is one of the hottest strikers in the world at the moment and his form in 2024 has been phenomenal.
“His record is brilliant for Newcastle and he has got a bit of everything: he is an excellent finisher, ice cool, and is showing why the club invested all the money they did in him.”
