Martin Zubimendi
Starting off with one of the most concrete transfer links so far this summer and that is Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi. HITC understands that the Gunners are keen on strengthening their midfield department and the 26-year-old would certainly fit that bill.

With a release clause inserted into his contract, a deal looked to be an easy one to do. However, as we have reported, as well as The Athletic, it is unclear if the player would be keen on leaving the Basque area with sources believing that he could prefer a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona, if an opportunity presented itself.

Arsenal do have backup targets if they miss out on the Spaniard and they are prepared to walk away from a deal if it continues to stall.

Youssouf Fofana
To that end, next on the list of targets who have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium is AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana.

HITC have reported that Monaco are indeed open to a potential sale and with the midfielder having just 12 months left on his contract, this represents the last chance for the French giants to make some money from his sale.

A whole host of Premier League and European sides have declared their interest but Arteta’s team are understood to be the latest to do so as the Zubimendi deal remains in the balance.

Benjamin Sesko
Another area of priority for Arsenal this summer, despite the good performances put in by Kai Havertz towards the end of the season, is a new centre-forward.

The Athletic has reported that Arsenal are the team who are vying for Benjamin Sesko the most, with it thought that the Gunners are the current favourites to land him.

Manchester United and Chelsea are keen but due to the stability on offer from the North London club, you wonder if they could be the favourites for the RB Leipzig forward.

We have also reported that Sesko has told his agents that he would like a move to Arsenal this summer, so this deal could well pick up momentum in the coming weeks.

Justin Bijlow
According to the same report from The Athletic, there is interest from the North London club in Dutch goalkeeper Justin Bijlow this summer.

Feyenoord’s Bijlow has interest elsehwere too but the Gunners do hold an interest in the 26-year-old, according to the report. Arsenal’s goalkeeping coach Inaki Pena is reportedly set to have a big say in any incomings.
