Arsenal transfer news: Aaron Ramsdale move ruled out as Arsenal target Bijlow issues plea

Arsenal are preparing for an overhaul over the summer transfer window, with a number of players set to depart the Emirates.

Aaron Ramsdale is one of those expected to move on, though it appears he will have to wait to find out his new club. The keeper lost his place in the Gunners' starting line-up over the course of the season just gone.
That has led to suggestions that he could move on in this summer's transfer window. But his hopes of a quick move have been dashed, with Arsenal reportedly demanding a high fee in exchange for his services.

That news comes as target Justin Bijlow issued a come-and-get-me plea to the Gunners. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Arsenal transfer news.

Bijlow issues come-and-get me plea
Arsenal transfer target Justin Bijlow has issued a come-and-get-me plea to the Gunners. The Feyenoord keeper has emerged as a potential option with Aaron Ramsdale expected to leave and would be keen on a move to the Gunners.

"Will I stay at Feyenoord? You never know, do you? That's football. You never know that. I'm ambitious, I've always said that. If the opportunity presents itself and a good club comes from abroad, I am open to it," he told Voetbalzone.

Asked specifically about interest from Arsenal and Liverpool, he added: "Those are two very nice clubs. Of course it is always nice to be mentioned at big clubs. As I said, I'm ambitious. As long as I play for Feyenoord I will give everything for that and first I just want to focus on the Dutch

Bruno Guimaraes has had his release clause a Newcastle activated, with Arsenal one of the teams interested in the Brazilian. Guimaraes has starred for the Magpies since arriving in January 2022.

He has attracted the interest of several clubs, including Arsenal. And the Gunners have a prime chance to bring the Brazilian to the Emirates Stadium over the next four weeks.

That is because Guimaraes has had a £100million release clause officially activated. It is now valid until the final week of June, with the 26-year-old free to move on if a club agrees to meet it.

Ramsdale move ruled out
Newcastle have ruled out a move for Aaron Ramsdale, with Arsenal's price tag too high. Ramsdale is expected to leave the Gunners this summer having lost his place in Mikel Arteta's team.

The Magpies were seen as a possible destination, with Eddie Howe's side in the market for a new keeper. According to the Daily Mail, Ramsdale is on their list of targets heading into the summer window.

But it is claimed that Arsenal's price tag for the England international is currently too high. That could change as the summer goes on, though it currently appears that Ramsdale will be extending his stay in North London.
