Arsenal transfer news, Gunners scouting 18-year-old striker, midfield partner for Rice wanted

Here is the latest transfer news coming out of Arsenal as the club are reportedly one of three watching an exciting teenage forward at EURO 2024.
Semih Kilicsoy
We start our transfer update with an interesting line from Turkey about Besiktas striker Semih Kilicsoy.

A report from Turkish outlet Sabah has stated that scouts from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City will be watching the forward during the European Championships.

Turkey won their opening game against Georgia and scouts from the three English clubs were reportedly in attendance.

Youssouf Fofana
A report from The Athletic has detailed that Arsenal are reportedly leaning towards looking for a number six in the summer to complement Declan Rice.

Ben Jacobs has claimed that Arsenal and AC Milan are keen on AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana ahead of a possible move.

Fofana would be a relatively cheap deal for the Gunners to do with Jacobs claiming that the Frenchman may cost just £15 million.

Fofana can certainly play as a number six and he could be a good fit for the Gunners if they choose to push ahead with a transfer.

Joshua Zirkzee
This news will be of concern to Arsenal as the club look around the market to identify a striker option following Benjamin Sesko’s decision to remain at RB Leipzig.

One of the forwards the club were keen on was Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee with HITC reporting that the Gunners, alongside Manchester United and Liverpool were interested.

However, a report from David Ornstein in The Athletic states that United are exploring a deal for the Dutch striker which would be a huge blow.

Talks are advanced with the player’s camp and the forward’s £34 million release clause is an attractive one for the Red Devils.

Bruno Guimaraes
The last name on this roundup is Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, who has been linked with a move to the Gunners.

Guimaraes’ future at St James’ Park has been called into question following the club’s failure to achieve European football.

HITC have reported that City are keen and would be willing to pay the £100 million release clause to sign the Brazilian but Arsenal however, would not pay the fee for the midfielder.

Nevertheless, a report from Spanish outlet Sport has claimed that the midfielder is ‘crazy’ about the idea of leaving the Geordie club this summer, which could allow Arsenal to step forward.
