Arsenal willing to pay a lot less than player’s price tag – Gunners value him at ‘just over half’ the request

Earlier today, we covered confident claims from Italy which said Arsenal are about to make an approach to sign Victor Osimhen.
It was said by Ciro Venerato that the Gunners will contact Napoli are finally try to get the centre-forward, offering something below this release clause.

Now as CalcioNapoli24 today features some quotes from Valter De Maggio, there’s some more information on how much Arsenal would like to pay for Osimhem.

The journalist claims the Gunners are only willing to offer a lot less than expected by Napoli.
“From what we understand, despite the monstrous offer from the Arab league, Victor does not want to go to Saudi Arabia. And Arsenal in the Premier League don’t value him at €120m, but rather just over half: €75m.”

Napoli have been tough regarding Osimhen’s sale for a long time, and in case Arsenal really offer that amount, then it’s very likely that will get rejected by club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

The striker, who has 76 goals scored in three years in Italy, is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €100m, and his release clause has always been mentioned as the price tag for his summer exit.

Arsenal interest is questionable anyway after Osimhen’s outburst at the weekend. The Napoli forward released a video slamming departing Nigeria manager Finidi George, and it won’t have exactly been attractive to interested clubs.
