'Hope they respect my decision': £70m player admits he could leave this summer as Arsenal show interest

Arsenal have now seen one of their summer transfer targets admit that his future is up in the air and he hopes his current club respects the decision he makes over the coming months.
An interesting summer awaits Mikel Arteta and Arsenal following another near miss in the race for the Premier League title last season.

The Gunners have another opportunity to bolster their squad this summer as they look to end their drought of two decades and get their hands on the English crown.

Only two points separated Manchester City and Arsenal last season which should provide the north Londoners with some encouragement going into the new campaign.

A couple of quality additions could well overturn the small margins in their favour as they look to become the team to beat in the Premier League.

And it seems one of their potential summer targets has just opened himself up to a possible move away from his current club over the coming months.

£70m Brazilian admits he’d be open to summer transfer
Going into the summer window, a new striker was perhaps the main target for Arteta having seen Gabriel Jesus struggle again in front of goal at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have shown they are not afraid to back their manager now with Arteta having been handed some big money signings like Declan Rice in recent transfer windows.

This summer may see more of the same with the gap to Pep Guardiola’s side closing year on year.

And the Brazilian has now commented on his future with a number of clubs believed to have now entered the picture for him this summer.

“I’ve received a few offers. Some official, others sounding out. I’ll take it up with my manager,” he told the media.

“They were clubs from England, Italy and Germany.

“If I stay at Nottingham, I’ll do my best. If I leave, I hope they respect my decision. I’m calm and analyzing it in the best way.”

How much would Nottingham Forest sell Murillo for?
Although Nottingham Forest are one of the clubs who are in need of generating some cash over the coming weeks to meet the PSR deadline, they will not be selling Murillo on the cheap.

As with Brennan Johnson last summer, Forest will be holding out for top dollar for their Brazilian centre-back this summer.

Considering the options Arsenal currently have at the back with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, this would be an extraordinary amount of money to pay for a backup player.

Of course, he would provide the Gunners with solid strength in depth, but surely Arteta has his eyes set on more pressing improvements elsewhere.
