Jose Mourinho faces first transfer problem in new job - and Arsenal are to blame...

Jose Mourinho is poised to take charge of Fenerbahce and faces losing one of his shining lights in Ferdi Kadioglu.
The left-back has excelled in Istanbul since joining six years ago, coming up with 39 goal contributions in 199 games, which has attracted interest from around Europe. Arsenal are ready to make a move for the Turkish international as they look for a defensive rejig.

Reports claim that Mikel Arteta is ready to make a move with some suggesting terms have already been agreed regarding a switch to the Emirates. Oleksandr Zinchenko's future at the Gunners remains unclear whilst Jakub Kiwior has remained a squad player.

Kieran Tierney, who left the club on loan this season to join Real Sociedad, may call time on his stint at Arsenal as they seek to make upgrades on their squad following another near miss in the Premier League title race.

Mourinho will be loathe to lose Kadioglu so early in his tenure, but may struggle to keep the player at Fenerbahce. The Turkish side have shown themselves willing to cash in on their biggest players. Arda Guler headed off to Real Madrid whilst Kim Min-jae, who is now at Bayern Munich, left Fenerbahce to join Napoli in recent years.

The Super Lig outfit have just enjoyed a stellar year but, despite winning 31 of their 38 games, were unable to topple city rivals Galatasaray, who claimed the title. Fenerbahce have been without a domestic league triumph for over a decade and Ä°smail Kartal has paid the price.

The club have revealed their negotiations with Mourinho on the public disclosure platform KAP to legally inform their investors. They said: "Our company has started negotiations with Jose Mario Dos Santos Mourinho Felix for the post of Football A team coach. It is announced with respect to our investors."

Ferdi Kadioglu is on Arsenal's radar
Mourinho has been out of a job since he was sacked by Roma midway through the season. The had just over two years in charge at the Italian outfit, leading them to the Europa Conference League title in his first season.

The Special One's last league triumph came when he was at Chelsea, guiding them to the Premier League back in 2015. He's also won titles with Porto, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
