Both West Ham and Arsenal face a vitally important summer transfer window ahead, with numerous new signings required at the London Stadium and the Emirates respectively.
Julen Lopetegui and Mikel Arteta are desperately on the hunt for a proven striker, as they look to bolster their centre-forward ranks.
Hammers boss Lopetegui is said to be prioritising the signing of a new front-man this summer, but one of his plans may well have just been thrown into tatters.
That’s because Gunners manager Arteta is moving into place to sign one of Lopetegui’s prime targets.
There is a striker out there who the Hammers have been chasing for quite some time now, and he’d be literally perfect for us.
However, it could well be curtains for West Ham in the race to sign Stuttgart hitman Serhou Guirassy in the summer window…

West Ham nightmare as Arsenal look for summer transfer window striker signing
According to a report from Bild, the Gunners have entered the race to sign the clinical striker for a bargain £15 million fee.
The former Rennes hitman bagged 30 goals and three assists in just 30 games for Stuttgart during the season just gone.
He would be the perfect signing for West Ham this summer, and he’d turn us into an even more dangerous attacking outfit than we already are.
Guirassy is exceptionally strong in the air, possesses really impressive pace and is an elite finisher. He would be incredibly dangerous surrounded by the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta as well, if the Brazilian remains at the club.
The 28-year-old is an incredibly hard worker and would suit Lopetegui’s system down to a tee.
For just £15 million, I don’t think there will be a better value for money signing out there this summer.
Unfortunately for West Ham though, it looks like Arsenal could prevent us from signing Guirassy in the summer transfer window, and that’s a huge shame.
