Rio Ferdinand says ‘electric’ player Arsenal want to sign has been the best player at Euro 2024

Perhaps that player will come in the form of Spain’s rising star, Nico Williams, who is shining at Euro 2024.

Sources have already told HITC that the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Aston Villa are keen to sign the Athletic Bilbao winger. 

And Rio Ferdinand now thinks that the ‘electric’ forward has been the best player at Euro 2024, so far, as he told Vibe with Five. 

Spain have made a 100% start so far, winning their first two matches, then making a host of changes for their third game and still beating Albania to top their group.

Ferdinand added about Williams that he has a ‘buy-out clause’ in his contract and he questioned who is going to put the money on the table for him.

“Who buys him,” asked Ferdinand. “He has a buy-out clause in the mid-50s I see and I read somewhere.

“The pace is electric. I love him. I think he is the player of the rounds.”

The 21-year-old has it all in the locker to play for a team in the Premier League and has the skill set to don the shirt of a team in the Champions League.

That’s where the likes of Arsenal come into the picture and you could see him bringing that extra edge to the team’s forward line.

Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are the two players who start on the left for Arteta.

But if they can bring Williams through the doors, then he starts after he provided 19 assists in all competitions last term, including helping his boyhood club win the Copa del Rey title, their first trophy in decades.
