The Gunners have improved with each passing season that Mikel Arteta has been at the helm, and they’ll be desperate to finally win the Premier League title next term.
Meanwhile, Spurs enjoyed a decent campaign in Ange Postecoglou’s maiden season in charge, finishing fifth and qualifying for the Europa League.
However, Tottenham were in the Champions League qualification picture for most of the campaign, so they’ll want to make sure they can last the distance next time.
Both Arsenal and Spurs have been linked with some of the top talents around, such as Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.
Now, another mutual target for the Gunners and the Lilywhites appears to have let both north London teams down, instead opting for a switch to west London.

Arsenal and Tottenham target Archie Gray set for Brentford medical
The player in question is Leeds United’s Archie Gray, one of the most exciting talents in English football.
The Daily Mail recently reported that Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea were all set to battle it out to sign Gray this summer.
However, David Ornstein’s latest report seems to have put an end to what may well have been a summer-long transfer saga.
Ornstein shared the exclusive update on X, with a link to his article in The Athletic.
He revealed that Gray is now set for a medical at Brentford after agreeing terms to join from Leeds.
If all goes to plan, a £35million deal is expected to go through with the Elland Road outfit.
Although a host of top clubs have been pursuing the 18-year-old midfielder, it looks like Brentford are winning the race.

Brentford strike gold with Gray deal
Gray is one of the most exciting young players in the country. Indeed, he’s arguably the biggest English talent since Declan Rice.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea would’ve all fancied their chances of signing him.
However, the likelihood of Gray getting regular first-team football from the off is higher at Brentford, so perhaps that may have swayed it.
The Bees have well and truly struck gold by securing a deal for the Elland Road prodigy.
Although Gray’s other suitors aren’t completely out of it yet, it does look as though he’ll be heading to the Gtech Community Stadium.
