‘We’ve been told’: Sky journalist shares what he’s now hearing about Benjamin Sesko and Arsenal

Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for Benjamin Sesko recently.

The RB Leipzig striker is said to be the Gunners’ top target heading into the summer transfer window, and the attacker is reportedly keen to join the north London club.
However, the race to sign Sesko isn’t quite a foregone conclusion as of yet as Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg delivers the latest update.

Benjamin Sesko hasn’t made Arsenal decision
According to Plettenberg, Arsenal are indeed in for Sesko.

The journalist says that the Gunners are pushing to sign Sesko, but he has been told that the forward is yet to make a final decision on his future.

Interestingly, Plettenberg also notes that Chelsea and Manchester United remain in this race, while Leipzig view this situation differently.

Indeed, the German club are said to be very keen to keep Sesko, with the journalist claiming that the Bundesliga side love the striker.

Sesko decision coming soon
Arsenal are really trying to get this deal done, and it may not be long before we hear of movement on this front.

As Plettenberg says, every party involved here wants a decision to be made before this summer’s European Championships, and that means that we’ll get some news in the next two weeks.

By the sounds of it, Arsenal are leading this race as they are pushing to sign Sesko, but with two other English contenders in the race, anything could happen here.

Chelsea and Manchester United certainly have the financial might to compete with Arsenal, but the fact that the Gunners are knocking on the door of winning the Premier League title and are in the Champions League next season, the Gunners may well have the edge in this race.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on as the Euros edge closer and closer and so does Sesko’s big summer decision.
