Arsenal ‘forcefully entered the race’ for player’ – Approach made ‘in the last few hours’

Bologna star Riccardo Calafiori has been heavily linked with a summer move lately, with many Premier League clubs said to be interested in his signing.

As Italian outlet Calcio Mercato today shares a story on the 22-year-old’s future, they highlight Arsenal as a club who could soon be making an effort to sign him.

It’s first made clear that Bologna would like to keep Calafiori at the club, as they’d love to have him for at least one more year.

They know the offers will arrive, though, and they’re reportedly demanding €50m for his transfer, knowing that half of the fee is going to his former club Basel.
Regarding the interested clubs, Calcio Mercato highlights the chase from the Premier League, and that’s where Arsenal come in.

It’s said the Gunners have ‘forcefully entered the race’ for Calafiori ‘in the last few hours’, and the next week shall be decisive.

Arsenal are not alone, though, as the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United are also said to have the player in their sights.
