Youngster Lamine Yamal is ahead of Raphinha in the pecking order and with Barca wanting to bring Nico Williams to the club, he has reportedly been offered to a host of Premier League teams. In addition to Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Manchester United have been credited with an interest.
The Gunners actually tried to sign the Brazilian two years ago after completing a move for Gabriel Jesus. He was very much viewed as a player who could provide competition for Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli out wide, as well as playing in the false nine position.
His preference at the time was to join Barcelona. But this time around, things may be different as Edu has a strong relationship with Barca's sporting director Deco.
Reports in Spain have suggested Arsenal are preparing a £50million bid for Raphinha, which is not thought to be enough or what the Spanish giants are hoping to receive. It is claimed that the winger has interest from Saudi Arabia with Al-Hilal bidding £55m (€65m) for his services.
However, Raphinha is not thought to have any intention of making the move to Saudi. Elsewhere, Mundo Deportivo states Barca would agree a deal for the winger for a fee of around £76m (€90m) as they aim to raise funds to sign both Nico Williams and Dani Olmo.
Although the La Liga outfit would prefer to keep hold of the winger, the financial issues at the club have led them to change their stance. Raphinha cost the Blaugrana £55m from Leeds United in 2022.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal would look at offering anywhere near the mentioned figure. Signing Raphinha would bolster Mikel Arteta's forward line this summer and complement a strike force that scored the club's record number of Premier League goals last season.
