Castles claimed that Arsenal were in talks with PSG over signing the Euro 2024 winner.
“On the Transfers Podcast we can tell you that Arsenal have initiated discussions With PSG for Spain international midfielder Fabian Ruiz. He is 28 and under contract until 2027. He’s had a difficult time at PSG. He’s been there for two seasons,” Castles said.
“Neither of the coaches he’s worked under have used him as a consistent first choice. He followed last season up with one of the exceptional performances at the European Championship. Perhaps the best player at that tournament for many observers, scoring twice and setting up two more goals.
“The discussions are dependent I am told on Arsenal moving a player out in midfield, it’s likely if they are to come to an agreement with PSG it will be structured the same way as the David Raya deal last summer with a loan with an obligation to buy one year later.”
