Arsenal pre-season plans: 5 fixtures confirmed

On Monday evening, Arsenal officially confirmed a long-rumoured pre-season friendly against Bournemouth, set to take place on Wednesday, July 24th at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles.
The game will kick off at 19:30 local time, which is 03:30 BST, so it will be a late one for any fans watching on back in England.

Arsenal have also confirmed that this will be the last fixture of the men’s pre-season tour of the United States, with games against Manchester United and Liverpool completing the U.S. schedule.

Arsenal’s calendar upon their return to London is also packed, with an Emirates Stadium friendly against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday, August 7th at 18:00 BST, then the Emirates Cup against Lyon on Sunday, August 11th at 14:00 BST.

That is very likely to be the final friendly of pre-season, with Arsenal playing against Wolves at the Emirates in their Premier League opener just six days later on Saturday, August 17th at 15:00 BST.

The only realistic opening remaining for further friendlies would be before the U.S. tour.

With nothing confirmed yet and less than three weeks until the squad flies out, it seems likely any additional games will be behind closed doors.
