In the 2024/25 campaign, Sane contributed to 23 goals from 42 appearances in all competitions, though Bayern were unable to win a trophy for the first time since 2012. With Vincent Kompany now at the helm, the Bavarians have been very busy in the summer transfer window, with Joao Palhinha and Michael Olise already purchased.
They are also pushing for Xavi Simons, Desire Doue and Jonathan Tah, but with that, exits will need to arrive. As such, Joshua Kimmich, Alphonso Davies, Leon Goretzka and Kingsley Coman could all depart, and while Sane's name is not included, a lucrative offer could be enough to sanction an exit.
Two years ago, Arsenal wanted to sign the 28-year-old after losing out on Raphinha when he joined Barcelona from Leeds United. Reports at the time suggested €70 million (£59 million) would have been enough to prise him away from the Bundesliga giants.
And now, Arsenal have been told by former defender Mikael Silvestre why they should bring Sane into the club. “Sane will bring quality and competition for Martinelli and Saka," he told bettingexpert.com. "They have a lot of competitions this season, so they need quality to close the gap. He’s a quality player.”
Prior to playing for Bayern Munich, Sane was at Manchester City alongside Arteta, with it was very clear the Arsenal boss made a telling impression on the winger.
Speaking to the Independent, Sane said: "Since we started working together, he helped me a lot on the pitch. He tried to improve my football; he told me what I did good and what I did wrong, and he tried to work on it.
"Next to Pep, they both really helped me and improved me, to bring me to the next level. Even now, at Arsenal, for me you can see he’s doing a great job.
"You can see he has a concept, a way that he wants to play, a way that he wants his team to play, and obviously it will take some time until everybody really understands it. I think he will do a great job as a [head] coach too."
